Yes, a fitness retreat works for beginners. At SALTY, every coached session goes harder or gentler, so first-timers and marathon runners train side by side. Sessions mix strength, yoga, pilates, boxing and surf, and every one is optional. Plenty of guests arrive out of shape or nervous, and coaches plan for that from day one.

What "all levels" really means

Every workout has an easier and a harder version, and coaches show both. Pick the one that feels right that day, and switch halfway if you want. Nobody counts reps but you.

Never surfed? Good.

Most guests on our surf trips are beginners. Local instructors get you standing on day one, and the boards and safety briefing are part of it. If the waves aren't your thing, the beach is right there.

Rest is part of the plan

Everything is optional except fun. Skip a session, take a nap, or read by the pool. You won't miss the group, because you'll see everyone at the next meal.

Frequently asked questions

What fitness level do I need?

None in particular. If you can walk for an hour, you can do a SALTY trip. Every session goes harder or gentler.

Can I skip a session?

Yes, any of them. Everything is optional except fun.

I have an injury. Can I still come?

Yes. Tell your coaches when you arrive, and they'll adjust sessions around it.

I've never surfed. Is that a problem?

No. Most guests on surf trips are beginners, and local instructors teach from the basics.

How many workouts are there each day?

Usually 2–3 coached sessions, and you pick how many you join.

Will I be the least fit person there?

Probably not, and it won't matter. The group is mixed on purpose.

Is it more of a workout trip or a vacation?

Both. Mornings are for moving, and the rest of the day is for adventure and good food.

How do I book?

Pick a trip and hold your spot with a USD 350 deposit. Split the rest into 3 or 4 payments.
